In 2024, we travelled to Vitoria to produce a film for a foundation in Álava, focused on eating disorders and the people affected by them.
The project required a careful balance: communicating a serious and complex subject with clarity, while protecting the dignity and emotional weight of the stories being shared. From the beginning, the aim was to create a piece that felt human, respectful and honest.
When working with such a personal subject, the process matters as much as the final film.
Our approach was built around trust: creating a calm filming environment, giving people the space to speak naturally, and avoiding anything that felt forced or sensationalised.
Filming in Vitoria allowed us to stay close to the people, places and organisation behind the project. The final film was designed to feel grounded, warm and emotionally clear and supporting the foundation’s message while keeping the focus on the people at the centre of it.
Thanks to everyone involved, we can now share this piece and hopefully contribute, in our own small way, to the ongoing work of @acabe_alava and @vitalfundazioa, standing alongside those who face this pain day after day.
